you know...i had the idea to do something just like this image ...but you beat me to the punch and you know what, im glad you did i wouldnt have done a job near as good as this one and just seeing it makes me want to shout for joy because if this image doesnt get 1st place, id be heartbroken.

very nice work.. i think there should not be stars at the halo region of the moon(moon halo would be brighter than the stars).. BUT here we are concentrating on the character.. so no probs.. the character's "pant" looks a bit flat and pasted.. try to blend it well with the environment.. gl

edit: put the clouds layer on top of star and moon layer.. stars are visible throught the clouds!!

Interesting character, but here and there can do with even more 3D. For example around the feet, maybe also some more in the back too. Be aware that quite some light comes from the moon on the right side, I'd expect more light on the Knight then too. The pants are pretty ok, but the way he stand now, I'd expect his right leg to be in front of the left one, while right now the left leg looks more in front of the right according to his butt. Hand looks nicely done, angle looks good too. Good luck!

thanks a lot to all of u 4 ur nice commentshsbee: in the desert stars appear with full haloed moon but i went out with over bright stars i reduced their brightness, wazowski: thank u 4 advicesi fixed feet now they look more 3D, as for leg they are on a horizontal line and i aimed for that he has a warpped pose thats the why you feel that has a shorter leg, GolmeAura: he seem to have butts now, ty

Nice2... he looks like someone who popped out of a storybook lolz. Just a little suggestion (I'm not that good in Photoshop btw, but I'd like to help out).. Maybe you might want to darken the knight a little coz it appears that the light source is supposed to be coming from somewhere behind him, not overhead. Darkening the knight and adding a little highlight on his shoulders might help.

Knight has now been darkened a bit to suit the lightsource a bit better. Thanks for your suggestion chacem and thanks for all the comments.

Masking and shadow looks pretty ok. Some nitpick, but I do think it needs to be fixed: the soles from his shoes are kinda missing. There is some, but compared to the original picture there could be more. I think with more sole he'd look better (as in less cut out around the feet). Good luck!
