Seeing the photo reminded me somehow of computer games.

Nice foreground figure...what's the messy thing in the background?

author says:

CMKY46 I wanted to make a steel monster but didn't want to give it much details. If it is not clear I will work on it more. Thanks!

lady is really good... though i wud hv taken sme orange dominated pic to use as the reflection all over white areas... to get the steel effect.. you may hv to soften the edges of monster and darken it to give sme 3d effect... i wud hv got rid of him though... good luck..

the top of the dune is transparent.

author says:

Hum, the transparency was a try to simulate heat reflection, but it seems it didn't work out well... Thanks elficho!

Nice idea but the foreground darkness is a bit confusing...and is that water behind the dunes leading up to the skyline?

Very good job in building the boat! But I'm not sure... could it be, that you forgot to hide one layer? I think I can see the sketch for the boat under and around the boat. *scratch my head* I don't think, that should be there Good luck!

author says:

author.. this is a very clever concept.. but if you want better votes you are going to have to up the resolution.. in high res everything is very blurry... now the concept and construction is very clever.. if you work on the detail this will be a very formidable entry... good luck (I love the balance and concept) good luck!!!

(photo shop world is a lot about sharpness and detail.. your concept and construction is awesome)

avatar pixelkid
pixelkid says:

Nice image, indeed...but I think you might have missed some masking where the leg and body meet on the small alpaca.

avatar arkncheeze

Missed masking, hmmmm... I compared the contest source, the outer source and the entry... I think that is not missed masking rather the reflection of the rock of the outer source... I matched the position and shape of the reflection with the supposedly missed masking and it matches... So no missed masking... But author should clarify...

(Guess I had nothing better to do lol)...

avatar hereisanoop

great

author says:

Yeah, Addie is right...its not miss masking. Its a reflection of a rock. Chk...out the background source...pixelkid

avatar Derivatix
Derivatix says:

very nice, calm and peaceful, like it very much.

avatar nudanke
nudanke says:

Very nice! Regardless of whether or not that is a reflection, it's very distracting and would only take a few seconds to clone out. It would definitely help prevent confusion in what is otherwise a well-done manipulation.

avatar Lelaina

Congrats for your second place!
