nice man cool work

Author if you sharpen the outer edge of the van (and burn the back wall) it will give the van more density , it will make it look like a van is painted like the back wall

As it stands the Van looks like it's PART of the wall painting (not sure if that was your goal)

But it's a very clever and well done image.. (even the greatest Trompe l'Oeil has little give a ways... shadow being the biggest fouler)

Good LUCK though, fun image!!!

Was supposed to look hidden but I will try those suggestions ..I am still learning ...and this type of feed back is welcome

Very creative to go beyond the confines of the van with your graffiti. But I think your intention of 'hidden van' (which you've achieved) is misguided. 'Blend in' would be more appropriate and realistic IMO, so instead of a ghost van (what this looks like), a clearly physical van parked in just the right place would be more compelling.

author says:

I appreciate your viewpoint but think you may have mis-read or limited your interpretation of the directions ."Use one of the provided van images and place graffiti on it"...when I read stand out, I read "make it different " and I believe I have achieved that ... thank you for your comment .as u are allowed to disagree

I really like this one! I do kinda wish that the van was in more solid form. Nice job, author!

"Out Law Bullrushes and Pitch as a form of Travel" That Moses always was bigger than life.

The baby is too large for the scene. Moses was placed in a basket. Nice theme.

author says:

@trim49, I wanted him to be over-sized for a very personal and specific reason, and Moses was placed on a group of BULLRUSHES that were coated in TAR PITCH, NOT a basket, thus the whole joke, (if I had used the grass fibers to make the Bullrush raft, it would have ruined the humor) thanks though

nice image -- a bit of a dark edge in places (head & neck) and maybe a bit of blur on the edge between the water and the baby would improve it a bit just to lessen the jagged edge a bit

author says:

Thanks Alan, got it

Last Picture of Uncle Joe - created by JamesP

Joe was a crime fighter (5 years and 3151 days ago)

MossyB says:

"Uncle Joe's" raised leg is too far to the center, giving him a hip joint where his crotch would be. His "6-pack" is also off center, as the base of those muscles would remain centered, with the upper muscles rotated, not all of them over to one side...

author says:

My attempt was for his shoulders to be square to the viewer, and the hips turned to the left.

thanks for the comment though, I may / may not change it

avatar MossyB
MossyB says:

Hips turned are one thing. You have his right hip square to the viewer, with the left leg misplaced. Also, turning the hips would move the lower abdominal muscles as well as the right leg, but with the right leg "face forward" as you have it, the lower abdomen would not be off to the right...
Anatomy is a bit difficult, but really not that complicated if you remember that it's all connected. If you move something, it still needs to remain connected to the rest, otherwise, you end up with a leg attached to the crotch...lol!

Changes are up to you. But in a competition, little things like wonky anatomy might cost you points...
