Creative surrealism. I do kind of wish the hole in the grass lined up with the hooves rather than being off to the side of the horse, however. (It seems to me that a horse sticking its head through a hole off to the side would likely be in more of a 3/4 pose exposing the top of the head and the far ear -- but maybe that's too realistic for surrealism.)
