When I thought of doing this It looked a lot better in my head. I couldn't find the right type of pictures to do what I wanted but I thought I'd enter it anyway. (5 years and 3584 days ago)

Watch out for borders around the models, and also they both have opposite light sources.
the shoe of the girl on the right should be darker. Also I didn't understand the image until I read the title. Perhaps adding more contrast or a different hue between the two sides would separate them more. Good luck!
all the best .............
Make sure that you check that all your light in your image is correct.. Be carefull not to have light shining from the left but the girl that's sitting down has ligh on her right cheek
good luck to you..

very simply idea, no outside sources
SBS:
Firstly i cloned out the shape to gain more background.
I then created the heart shape filled it with the green colour from the original shape and added an outer glow layer effect to it.
Next i created the light shinning through effect by maing an oval shape using the pen tool and filled the selection using the pen tool, duplicated to make four.
Finally i duplicated the heart and fill the shape with a black fill and then applied a gradient mask. (5 years and 3607 days ago)
definitely simple. why so pixelated?
im not sure, maybe i saved it in a low quality, might improve on it when i get the chance
It is awfully simple, but that might be redeemable if there were any recognizable hint of the source image.
nice

I like the idea. It seems to require a brighter/sunnier environment, however: brighter sky, castle, and foreground with strong shadows cast by the towers and figures. I would use the shading on the assassin to determine the light direction and how to shade the rest of the elements. I think if Ms. Macgyver were using a belt buckle or had her compact out while powdering her nose, this would portray a moment of greater creative spontaneity on her part.
Seeing as your not impressed by it yourself... maybe you should keep at it till you get it how it is in your head...
all the best ............. not bad .............
