source and my pic for background (5 years and 3784 days ago)
Beautiful image.. very nicely done.. this competition has finished with this image.. high marks from me!
First of all I selected the hut by using the pen tool. It was quite a work to get rid of some backround that was still visible through some wood pieces.
I selected the moon out of a picture by using the quick selection tool and added onto my hut image. Found a good spot for the moon (top right side of the screen) and connected the hut to the moon by using a hook from one of my own images (please see SBS).
Added sky and clouds backround, trees, colored image using a lot of different gradient adjustment layers.
Added light beams from windows and some star dust using an excellent magic brush.
Credits to:

And "Stock.xchng", as usual the best site to find exactly what I'm looking for and "obsidiandawn" for a great light beam brush with endless usage!

Will the idea become reality? (5 years and 3792 days ago)
Nice idea!
Very nice!
hahaha love it!
Nice, but why so much black around it? Good luck!
to wazowski: i wanted to add the feeling that the baby is lonley and alone. hope it worked.
Ah, that's all ok (I already had a clue). Thing is, on my screen I see 2 different backgrounds. One is real black and another one from -I guess- the bulb source. Up to you if you want to keep it like that. Good luck!
looks like you have a better monitor... mine is old as matusalem... lol i'll fix it... thx

Nice image, i'm not sure if the outer glow should be coming out of the steel part of the lightbulb, but the rest looks nice, maybe add an orangey - old timey background for effect. Good luck!
nice job, but of ftheme imo
it has candle in BULB .. is that what you were going for to be on THEME? iF so nice
very nice! the drop shadow is not gettin it for me maybe move it over a little more and down a bit the lighting of the light bulb is cool and good

beautiful
load of wrk can be seen here................nicely done..........gl.
Very nice use of source, the reflection looks a little too saturated, so maybe pull the colours back a little bit, other than that.. great job!!
Good change, the reflection was just a bit distracting.. looks good now!
lol the title says it all! lol
Very nice work. I think the bright blue vignette is detracting from your final result. Anyone else agree?
awesome...
rcscruff is onto something.........vignette is a bit strong. Try fading gently from one color to the other. That wil help focus the eye into the center of your work. I love the colors used....good luck.
Congrats for your second place, Ernest!
congrats
Congratulations for 2nd
Congrats!
