Covered with a shield (5 years and 3276 days ago)
great job in making the lion sit , i think only one lion is enough .... the clearly visible mirrored copy is not really appealing . good luck

Good colorizing on the head, although the figure kinda dies against the background...maybe create depth of field by blurring & slightly desaturating the background? Just a suggestion.

It looks like she only has one leg...I guess that would make me depressed, too!
You might want to move the "lion" shield" away from the one-legged knight a bit, so that people don't confuse it as a "ball arm..." This would also help reveal her "missing" leg, since I think I see a knee joint above the "ball arm" shield confusion.
The figure obviously has two legs. There is chain mail above the lion shield which comes from the waist, then covers a bit of left leg of the figure. If only the author had made a SBS this image wouldn't be so confusing.
Nice source find. However you need some adjustments:
1.You should work out a background. BG matters a lot in giving the context & mood of an entry.
2. You could use some color on her skin & hair - this will be fun and might give a "painting" feel to it.
3.An SBS would help some to appreciate your efforts more.
That's it for know, if you need more I'll be around.
You can edit your entries in My Stuff - My Contest Entries until the deadline.
Author I think you have done a fine job, especially with the armor. A step by step would be helpful for those who are curious as to your method. All in all I like your concept and its execution.
PS: It would be nice to see how you achieved the metallic effect on the shield. We're all here to learn.

just add more edge burn to make it convex
.....and I agree, the figure obviously has 2 legs and is covered with armor, nice work author
Thanks to everyone for the suggestions and compliments. I listened to your advice and I made some changes to the picture. especially thank geexman because he answered a question for me.
Very cool! I'd like to see SBS.
Colored skin is sexy! I'm glad you decided to do that!
You could also try to color up her hair, make it blonde-ish so that it relates to the shield.
And if you have time, try to experiment with some grass, some sky, like she's sitting on a rock at the edge of a cliff. Maybe you can even find a nice castle stock and place it on a far hill in the background.
You can improve this a lot!
Congrats!
Thanks Erikuri

SBS please !
will try to make it and upload it in a couple of days
There's a right angled artifact at lower left center. I'd add some blue to this, but it's not bad.
couple of days!!!!!! don't you think that's so much time?
Please remember that making a SBS is not required if outside sources are used.
my friend zafanwary, not every one have time to make SBS in a flash
still, i made the effort and uploaded the SBS
CMYK46, thanks for the remark
link three is fixed
Splendid work!
