i probably should have used a regular person for the body. I thought this would be cooler but i believe this was my first time to actually use the burn tool and smudge tool together.

think if you have a photorealistic background the image object also needs to be realistic, otherwise use or create a 'cartoony' background and the 'object' will fit better. Only my opinion mind you, good idea though !!

Hey dude, go into My Stuff> My Contests> find this entry and then >edit entry.

@ top of page find "my stuff" drop down the menue and select my contests find your particular and edit it

Displacement map would make the contour of the scales more realistic...

agrees with CMYK. You should even try dodge and burn and liquefy to shift the texture to the curves of his face. Right now it looks very flat.

put the scales pattern on a fresh layer, set it to overlay or scroll threw the options and see what looks best, maybe even change its colour a little via (ctrl U on pc or cmd U on a mac) before using burn and dodge for extra detail. Great idea though, also different from the rest too. GL

I can see the source in the tial but I was thinking where the mountain meets the lake, doesn't loot natural. Edge of water is too blurry. Next entry, perhaps.
