Well... Had the idea to create something like a dark smurfs village in mind. Not being the greatest Photoshop artist, this is what i came up with. Would really love to hear how would you guys have used this idea better.

Beautifully done
I love to do hummingbirds, too. Here is a site which can be a lot of help for good references on how sleek their little feathers are, and all the various colors you can use. Their little feet usually show, but they pull them up tight to their bodies as they fly. GL

Source was used to create the butterflies, flowers in hair, some of the foreground leaves, and bottom fairy's wings, as well as the background textures. Other background leaves are from my own photo. i like this...
The background is too dark. It makes the mushrooms look like they are floating in the darkness, rather than being in shadow. I'd suggest bringing up the ambient light a bit.
I also would have blended the bottom of the mushrooms with the ground more like putting some grass in front of it. Or actually since the mushrooms look a bit cartoony, I would have just made the whole thing look more cartoony with the Poster Edges filter. But that is just my opinion. I do like the colors of the mushrooms though.
