actually jawshoewhah, getting the whole thing to match in low res took forever, but the result was cute, and that was my goal (the dog wouldn't sit still in the car and I stood behind a tree through a bush to get the picture, every time I stood in front to get a solid shot he'd duck and cover to his master LOL) so I couldn't get close enough for a high RES)

Well I know how frustrating it is to get a good shot of an animal. My brother has a hairless cat that I really wanted to get pictures of and the damn thing would NOT STAY STILL!!!

I would use a staple gun, but I don't think the owners would have liked that LOL

Jeez! CMYK46 is just trying to help. The more realistic the better right? I would want people to point out my mistakes also. If one chooses to change it or not is the author's decision but it is good that CMYK46 is trying to help make the chop more realistic or correct.

BTW author, good job. The chop would be nice without the rays. Are you going for a window effect?

The light rays do give it the illusion of looking through a window. You should do that. Make it look like you're looking out of a window, meaning add an actual window frame from the inside of a home. I think it would add more to the effect. Just a suggestion.

What happened to the right side of the tree? fixing that and remove the light rays and its will be closer to perfection (in my opinion)

I also get the feeling that the face is floating infront of the tree, and not a part of it. I think sharper edges would make a difference here

You missed some hair at the back of the head, and the edge of his shoulder is blurry...

Agrees with CMYK but the image being so close should be more in focus like the barber and customer, since they are so close to distance. I understand good source is sometimes hard to find but maybe this wasn't your best choice for outside source. There are way to sharpen soft images like this and perhaps someone else can suggest a method to improve the sharpness, but it will be minimal improvment.
