"Not Waving but Drowning"
by Stevie Smith
Nobody heard him, the dead man,
But still he lay moaning:
I was much further out than you thought
And not waving but drowning.
Poor chap, he always loved larking
And now he's dead
It must have been too cold for him his heart gave way,
They said.
Oh, no no no, it was too cold always
(Still the dead one lay moaning)
I was much too far out all my life
And not waving but drowning.

Nice work = )
Fascinating poetry ... thanks for sharing!
Arca..if you ever get the chance to see a movie called STEVIE with Glenda Jackson, it will blow you away.. (super underground film)
Why do I think of Death
As a friend?
It is because he is a scatterer,
He scatters the human frame
The nerviness and the great pain,
Throws it on the fresh fresh air
And now it is nowhere
Only sweet Death does this,
Sweet Death, Kind Death,
Of all the gods you are the best.
hehehehe, she's such a stinker LOL

Whoa! I have a feeling it will be *you*.
I don't know if it's possible but there's an "Empty Space" about 1/3rd to top-left. Also some "people" have their z-orders wrong hence are giving a sense of floating in mid-air. Eg: That red dude in front of that blue lady. Oh wait! Lemme rephrase: That red dude behind that cyan kid, behind that cyan guy, behind that magenta lady, behind that blue woman, behind that violet lass in front. Better
LOL, part of the idea is to create the chaos of the time of Margaret Sander, not to make a visually "Approved" image by PS standards, I do believe I created an image of overpopulation, but Margaret's greatest concern were the women of the time, having over 20 children before the age of 35 and having their internal organs so ripped to shreds that they died or suffered miserably because they didn't have healthy access to birth control, thanks nbaztec,
as to the 1/3 back, that's where I wanted to show children as part of the piece (there is no attempt to make it look like a photograph, it's an interpretation wall visual)
Oh, I had no idea about that. Thanks for educating me on that. Also you chaos is more like the Chaos Theory from the time of Ronald Reagan(Order in Chaos). I like what you have done with 100+ layers. When you go that distance it either a masterpiece or "modern art". Good luck.
wow, so cool and colorful...GL
It looks great, both chaos and order are displayed here
I like it allot!. aspecially that you made it in all kinds of different colours and patterns!
What a great interpretation of her cause! Never heard of her before, went to wiki to read about her, she was quite a woman. There's a Planned Parenthood a bit south of me - she left quite a legacy. Good work, author. Love the symbolism of the colors and textures.
