One of the engines pistons detonated, ripping through the engine block breaking a fuel line in the process. Unable to shut the fuel pump off, highly volatile avgas spews onto the hot exhaust. With the fire bottle spent, the pilots only hope is a rapid descent in hopes that the fire will blow out.

You gotta hate when that happens. Good job on extending the wings. Maybe the inclusion of a reason (lightning, birds, meteor, Dr. Evil) would tell the story a bit more. I like this one
