The "wild swans" sign looks too disjointed from the image, It would be better without the framing, and the "space flower" text is too dominant, taking away from the "melting blue delicious," which is what the image does a fabulous job of conveying.
In short, the text is hurting this image.

author says:

It's an Eighties cover MossyB (I have hundreds of them) and it works perfectly fine for me, Sorry I disappointed you so much, I'll try to make it better next time (The Wild Swans is the name of the band, Space Flower is the name of the Album, Melting blue Delicious was the name of the song)

I'm not familiar with that song or group, but that's definitely an 80s look!! Well done, and I can say that from experience.
Sorry, MossyB, but maybe you're just too young to appreciate this style of art - and yes, it IS a style. Well done, author.

What are those chocolate things??? Reminds me of some peanutbutter-chocolate cheesecake pops I made once......

WOW! I really don't know what to say! Other than how awesome this is!!! Ok there's a lot more but we are only allotted like 6000 words!

avatar CMYK46
CMYK46 says:

Hmmm...sure wouldn't be clean & bloodless like this...no teeth showing either...but allowing for artistic license, IMO the skin should be color matched to the face. Good execution!

avatar taintedhockey

The face looks like Wax. Very nice though!!!

author says:

@ MnMCarta: Thankyou :P

@ CMYK46: My idea behind it was that it's more a mask... therefore no need for any other features on the body head purely for the fact the other features are on the part being removed... I did colourise the 'mask' to more a skin tone afer your comment, which I agree looks a little better...

@ taintedhockey: I'm glad it looks like 'wax' as it's meant to look like it's melting... thankyou

Im new to photoshop so experimented with the overlay options to blend the puddle image into the snow. I also used the erase tool to tidy up the edges and blend it. I wanted to portray in this image how hot the red chilli is. (5 years and 3349 days ago)

Ressiv says:

Doesn't look that bad Idea is great, but why the fire? Without the fire you keep the pepper as the important object in the image that does the melting, now it looks like the fire does that. Would be funnier if only the pepper is melting the snow, than you have a better concept. Is there a higher resolution image? If so, upload it.
The background is a little boring, maybe cutting of the top of the image (so you wont see any houses) would make the image more powerful. Good luck!

avatar gopankarichal

nice idea

author says:

Ressiv,

Thanks for the comments, when I looked at it I thought yes, why did I set it on fire there is no need. I have also cropped is as you suggested as it less distracting now and the focal point after all is the chilli.

gopankarichal,

Cheers mate! I having so much fun experimenting with Photoshop and I get to express my ideas through simple images : )

avatar woodztockr

I think this is right on spot... if the chili is more centralized or other aspects are blurred a bit to give central and main focus on the chili in the otherwise snowy scene... keep up the awesome work author!

author says:

Thanks woodztocker! Totally made my day : )

avatar wazowski
wazowski says:

Dunno how the image looked like before the edits, but this result is quite funny . I dont completely agree with woodztockr's suggestion, because I think that the red is already asking enough attention from the eye. With a blur in the edges of the image you may lose the connection that it's a cold landscape. Good luck!
