Nix the white fingernails, and show the original image in SBS.
Edit: Sorry, didn't realize you had just posted. Nice work on the restoration.

author says:

@CMYK46: You are very fast I didn't complete the uploading yet! Thanks for your comment! I'll fix it!

Secret note to Author. When submitting an entry you can tick the box on the submission page that says "Publish entry later (via 'my contest entries')" and then you have all the time in the world to get it right before anyone sees it. You can check your links, your SBS and see how the image looks in Hi Res. Then when you are all done just go to My Stuff>My Entries>Hit the "Publish Entry" button. Voila, you have a perfect submission. That is until someone notices something else is wrong ... happens to me all the time but at least I get some of the problems taken care of before anyone can see!

author says:

@CMYK46: Thanks for the edit, friend!

@arca: Really? I didn't realise it before how it could help me the "publish entry later", thus I didn't check it! I'll use it each time from now! Thank you!

very sentimental! gl

avatar spaceranger

The tonality really makes it feel nostalgic! I agree with Bob, the shadows look fine, nicely done. (I'd love to have Basil Fawlty's car, I love Britcoms).

Nice external source find, and good integration of contest source. I'm also a Fawlty Towers fan, spotted that right away.

Nice construction, I tried to do this once, it took me hours, got bored and never submitted
Glad to see you had the patience.
When i chopped I was getting inspired by this: http://www.sxc.hu/photo/177048 & other similar pics on sxc.
Maybe you had some reference pics as well - there's no shame in admitting & posting them.
It's not like we can invent tanks, with so many details without help, and no sane voter will pretend that..

avatar greymval
greymval says:

I'm not sure what 'star' means,( I though Chinese, not Soviet), and I'm not sure why you used sepia, either.
In case you wanted to make it look like an old photo from the big war, I would suggest adding some scratches, imperfections, maybe some decoloration (dodge) on the edges, to make it authentic. Good luck.

author says:

thanks greymval for the extensive comment .
1. no reference image is used in this image (i do know about tanks and this one can't even turn the turret lol, sadly i've seen my share of tanks some 12 years ago) .
2.the star is placed on the tank when the partisans capture it from the nazis .
3.i will try to make it older with imperfections and all thanks for the suggestion

edit: ok i hope i didn't destroyed it too much
