Model is my own stock by me.
I want to thank ~sixwings over at Deviant Art for the beautiful source I used for the background and Gao Hul for the lovely blue beta fish that I created the mermaid's tail from. (5 years and 3453 days ago)
jelly fish strings are not good.. (right side of the fish) but ,nice overall good luck
Great job love the blending of the tail
Figure should be farther back in the water to better show her reflection.
I think the lady should be darker because there is no sunlight there where she stands.
Thankyou for the nice comment, benjaminhill12. CMYK, I placed her where I did because I didn't want to have her get lost in the background but did definitely show water flooding over her tail. I also created the rock and it's reflection. Serialkiller, I really didn't want to lose detail, that is why I didn't darken my mermaid more.
Shrinking the mermaid a little and moving her to the right a bit (Rule of Thirds) might start to address CMYK46's and serialkiller's valid concerns. Looking at the hi-res: The rock she is sitting on is lacking crispness while (possibly as a result) her butt edge is too sharp. The reflection of the end of her tail should be of its bottom (and follow a shadow-like path), not of its top [3D versus 2D].
beautiful work ............. all the best ...............
