For those one who's never done this before: try to look at a mirror holding another mirror... Voilá! The real droste effect!...
There are more than 12 masking layers here... sigh!... ;) (5 years and 3632 days ago)

Special thanks to authors (5 years and 3777 days ago)
Nice image. A gradient mask on the reflection might have helped allowing it to fade away towards the bottom.
I love it!!

Quite a nice effect, but my first impression was that it seemed a bit crowded--maybe just a tad too many layers. Perhaps you could try spacing the layers slightly apart towards the front, then condensing them further back...? Not sure if this would fix it.
Thanks for the comments... But try it yourself to look at a mirror holding another one; you'll see the same thing - a mirror full of yourself!
Haha yes, actually, I have done that before. Realisticly, it's good. I meant that it was just a bit overwhelming at a first galnce. Gl, author.
Yep, too many repetitions without paying attention to scale, but not a bad idea...
nice
I just tried doing this for real again last night--even if a mirror is pressed flat against your face, there still is a little more space inbetween But, yes, as it progresses, it becomes very condesnsed as the picture displays.
Yep, it's a kind of optical illusion.
Great job, cant fault it
