Decided to make some sorta wasp ant like creature. Something that has possibly been growing and evolving deep in a cave some where....well not so deep that there can't be sunlight :) (5 years and 3056 days ago)
Very impressive, I wouldn't like to meet this critter
Nice evolution, but the light reflection doesn't work with the sunlight shining from behind the creature... Better to ditch that back entrance, and make an opening above and to the right, so that the lighting is consistent.
Very cool and well crafted work! To be honest I perceive the light as coming from above, right and just in front of the creature, not behind it. So it looks correct to me.
Light spreads, this works for me. Great concept and painting, author!
Light looks fantastic to me..., but I really don't care about the light, I think the manipulation and overall result is just fantastic! Great Job author
Thanks everyone! and I do see what you mean Mossy, but I had the light just coming from the top right. Having the bright white corner just sorta threw of my composition so I put that rock in front of it. The beams of light were coming in front of him for a while, but I just didn't like what that did to the shadows. Also for all we know there is another hole up above to the right that we just cant see! perhaps if I have time I'll do some tweaking thought
Great, great work!!! Impressive!
Why thanks you!!!!
Yeeeees, the Evolution could play very eccentric tricks

Great Job Author.. GOOD LUCK!!!
If you reduced the red in the background flames the monster would pop more. This could be a great image. IMO the blacks in the foreground should be dominant, and again, the blacks in the background reduce the illusion of depth.
should "liquidify" more to make it more curvy... now alittle stiff looking
Nice creation !

Monster should be making monster ripples!
I like the concept, but the proportions make this look really weird. The ship (and possibly the iguana monster) is too large for its position in relation to the shoreline.
Also, the "mood" shadow in the LH corner echos the sea monster too much, which combined with the down slope of the hill on the right, draws the eye down and off the side of the composition rather than bringing it back to the *oversized* boat.
Very nice...

make the drop-shadow fall on the bed (not on the wall or side of kid)
add left-to-right, darken the kid's left side using "burn" or other method... you have to look at what direction the light source is....
the monster should only have the claws and portion of his chin in the light, the rest should be darker since under the bed
idea is great
well............... i won't be sleeping tonight lol
good work gl author..!!
There is no "drop shadow to fall onto the bed, since the light from the window is on the side, not above.
I did use the burn tool to darken the left side, but if I darkened it too realistically, you wouldn't really see anything of the image, it would be too dark...So I darkened the left side of the kid, and "globally" darkened the monster under the bed.
Thanks for your comments.
Good and scary! GL author.
