Nice job! Very realistic...the foreground dino's color is pretty close to his background, so he doesn't really pop, but that's just me quibbling. GL author!

Thanks Bob. I added a redish color to the foreground velociraptor, darkened the background, just a little , and dodged some higlights over the rock.

Your mistake ... I wear glasses too (for now only for myopia). But when I'm at my PC, I take them off - I can't read using them...

Considering the light source I think the highlights on the eyes would be on the upper right instead of upper left. Aside from that, it's a great job!

As a newbie how do I know if a image has already been manipulated?

Good question author. Many times it's obvious, but not always. All I can say is try to develop a sharp eye. Sometimes the author of an image will say it's been manipulated in the description. GL on your entry.
