This is the transcript of an actual radio conversation of a US naval ship with Canadian authorities off the coast of Newfoundland in October, 1995.
Radio conversation released by the Chief of Naval Operations on November 10, 1995.
Americans: Please divert your course 15 degrees to the North to avoid a collision.
Canadians: Recommend you divert YOUR course 15 degrees to the South to avoid a collision.
Americans: This is the Captain of a US Navy ship. I say again, divert YOUR course.
Canadians: No. I say again, you divert YOUR course.
Americans: THIS IS THE AIRCRAFT CARRIER USS LINCOLN, THE SECOND LARGEST SHIP IN THE UNITED STATES' ATLANTIC FLEET. WE ARE ACCOMPANIED BY THREE DESTROYERS, THREE CRUISERS, AND NUMEROUS SUPPORT VESSELS. I DEMAND THAT YOU CHANGE YOUR COURSE 15 DEGREES NORTH, THAT'S ONE FIVE DEGREES NORTH, OR COUNTER-MEASURES WILL BE UNDERTAKEN TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF THIS SHIP.
Canadians: This is a lighthouse. Your call. (5 years and 3525 days ago)
Having been a navigational radar technician on board a US Navy Aicraft carrier I can truly appreciate the humor in this! Well, I guess anybody could. I just like saying all of that.
Not a true story (per snopes.com) but a very funny video.

Did it really happen? Oh my... I'm cracking up with that!
I have heard this 'joke', good job illustrating it, tho the ship's water could be blended a bit better. You 'got it', tho, author!
Dang Canadians are a stubborn lot :P lmao this is a good one
i know this one....GREAT...

all the time is time for wine :) (5 years and 3612 days ago)
The source has a very narrow ellipse that is the liquid's surface which you forgot to convert to wine. I think a flatter rim ellipse would improve the perspective (go better with the barely curved liquid-surface line). The glare on the front is on the exterior surface of the glass so it should also be in front of the wine (no color change). The second "its" should be "it's" (needs an apostrophe).
Best of Luck

thanks for tip erikuri
i think this is a bit too blurry :S, but i like the idea.
blurr was to give felling of hot i guess it doesn´t work
way to blurry, sorry your effect of making it look hot did not work .. you need to make it "heat waves" otherwise nice job.. and GL
thanks Jellopudding, but is not easy make heat waves (at least for me) i have to work on it
many thanks for tips
ooooo much better... you need some treasure chests and maybe add some tried up seaweed some dead fish etc
Yeah Jellopudding is right ! Think of this.. Your entrie is very good now but if you make it more interesting by adding some stuff it becomes WAY better and you may even win this ! good luck

Pretty NIFTY!!!
would look better if you warped the texture with the plating to make it more 3D, but otherwise nice job
I know where this guy came from, he's modeled on Zurg (the badguy from Toy Story
. I agree with Kid about the textures, but pverall this is a very good image, nicely done.
