Would be good if the red paint looked realistic.

Hey author, I'll take 200 gallons of that "half arsed red 032" it should go a long way around here covering up some of these remarks.
I LOVE that color, author - and I've just leased a warehouse that should hold at least 500 gallons, put mine in 5-gallon buckets, please. The paint looks nice and thick - good for covering up nasty comments with just one coat. Good idea on the idiom, btw.
good luck
looks like blood good you excluded the plants from the red-paint.
There is a music festival using this image. I hope they have your permission: https://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=671643742852556&set=a.136732969676972.25754.124084470941822&type=1&theater

Used just brush tool and smudge tool.

Someone has CS5 :P
Yaaa but I used that technique of brushing only for the brown things over there. But I didn't like the effect and again started to use the smudge tool with new 'self-designed' brush.
Best of luck
gud luck

no outside sources were used other then the basic photoshop tools and filters (5 years and 3522 days ago)
Great! Some sbs would be nice =)
im still kinda new here but i need to work on keeping track of all my steps as i play with the pictures
basicaly i drew an easel around the source with the pen tool then added some color to it , then i cut up my "tools' and other windows into layers...threw a few filters over the source and it was pretty much there...
Nice idea...good luck and welcome...
its easy, just open your psd (if you still have it) and just reveal each layer and describe what you did for each new layer you revealed. simple. thats what i do... sbs's arent tutorials, they are to showcase the authenticity of the techniques used, and so that we know something wasnt ripped off... if you have progress pics, then we know you did it. (not speaking on this project, speaking on all projects everyone does)
nice idea, good luck

Looks pretty good except for the eye. It's too big, and humans don't have yellow eyes with slit pupils.
@CMYK46, Yeah........I'm not sure what I was thinking. If you look closely it's actually a cat eye. Thought I could get away with it being a painting and all.
I think this should win it!! Well done author and good luck!
Indian - totem - animals.. Hmmm... The cat is his spirit! Hurray!
Very dramatic except for the eyes: the far one seems blind, the near one seems demonic (which could work if the far eye matched it).
Really nice work . . . .
Nice work author...
