I'm a tad curious.. is this a planned image?.. did you costume the child as well?.. very curious because I know how much work that can be.. if so, you should really include that in your SBS.. Photography with children is an Absolute nightmare if you can't keep their attention.. and I should know LOL I have over 28 nephews and nieces LOL.. nice work here

The face is very nicely done. Perhaps the eyes look too big (I wouldnt mind if they were a bit bigger than usual, but this is maybe a bit too obvious) and the chin could be a bit more under the mouth, but I like the overall look of the face (a bit what you can see back in the Symbolism art style, artists like Rosetti, Franz Stuck or to be a bit more in combination with greek influence Alma-Tadema)and especially the mouth is very nicely done. What I do think that needs some further work is the hair. Nothing wrong if not all parts get the same attention and finishing touch -it can be very effective in fact- but imo right now it's too rough and needs at least *some* more details to give it more the feeling of hair, to let it look more than just lines. The shading is nice, perhaps you can add some shadow under the flower in her hair and a biiiit of shading for her collarbone and where the neck reaches the body.
Having said all that (and before I get all PXLEyes against me), this is of course a very nice result . Good luck!

Ow, maybe one more edit: Apart that this is nice work, does Persephone has any particular details that is very recognizable for her (so that this image is more than "just" a pretty piece of work...mmmand to be sure, that question is not meant as any negative, just wondering)?

Way to write a novel Waz! It's mostly a time issue on the hair. If I had two weeks she would be better... Only have so many hours. Eyes I did on purpose and the rest is just... my vision.

I decided to add a toga, to help hide the funky business that was going on w/ the chest. everything I tried to do to fix it looked weirder than it did before, but I can draw cloth! I actually like it a little bit better now, and now it's more "Greek" for CMYK

OK, so, I looked and I looked and...then looked again at this image! It's fascinating....very very beautiful and very well done...! But...I was reading all comments and thought about the question whether it respects the theme or not! I was a bit confused cause I wanted to vote high on this one..! So...I went back to the contest description and read it more carefully. Even if it says: "create an interesting scene based upon the story", it also says "Depict one of your favorite Greek or Roman Gods/Goddesses in an artful manner...!" And this awesome creation does exactly this! So...high marks!

Good interpretation! Couple of things: First, your source link doesn't seem to work. It says the photo is private. Second, the background seems a bit blotchy. I understand using a glow to make the environment seems otherworldy, but it feels like a tad much IMO. Other than that, I really like what you've done here. Good job!

Nice idea, perhaps for Spring I'd make the colors a bit more bright & fresh (but that's personal). As for the shadow, agreed with Nav777singh. Looking at the dress, the light seems to come from the right side, so the shadow would go more to the left direction. And perhaps I'd give the bird a little bit other color or try something else, so it'll be a bit more visible compared to the background. Good luck!
