This is my "I am back!" -entry for the PXLeyes. I was away for a LONG time, and now I felt like refreshing my "art"-hobby.

This one took mostly a lot of work by hand and standard brushes, to add texture for the "ball" made from the sunshade, and blending in the extra garment for the monk boy's cloth. Also hours of work with the shadows, as most had to be add by hand, trying to walk the thin line between realistic and "looks better this way!" I tried to blend the invisible barrier of depth with imaginary design.

It's good to be back, warmest greetings to everyone who still remembers me (after voting, that is :s ) (5 years and 1033 days ago)

First time I have done an entry in a very long time.

VERY rusty but I really enjoyed doing it :)

Blended together parts from different pictures mainly making use of selection tools, eraser (to blend), burn/dodge (for shadows).

The house is deliberately off perspective its supposed to be a bit whacky, I used the perspective transform tool to mess it up a bit.

Just another perspective - created by lundmikkel

Just another perspective

I thought I would look at the contest from another perspective than the rest of the contestants. So I just changed the whole thing.

Everything is done within Photoshop. To 3D program used, to vector or anything like that.

Unfortunately I didn't have the time to add the lighthouse light at the top - another time :)

Hope you like it, it's my first entry since the site change name from PST... (5 years and 3480 days ago)

A bit too much blur, but everything else is great!
PS: Good to see you're back, author!

Nice idea well done

-- PS welcome back wondered where you were hiding (LOL)

author says:

Yeah, I had my doubts about the blur. That's why I added the last step in SBS to show the details missing. But the high res wasn't made for full size viewing.

avatar ponti55

Looks like incredibly tedious work, author.. but an excellent idea and very well executed.

avatar erikuri
erikuri says:

That's a different point of view!...
And let's consider blur as a soft focus, or DOF... I like both versions!

author says:

@Erikuri:
It was supposed to be DOF...

And I meant:
No 3D program, vector or anything like that was used...
