It seems to me that any source could have been used to create the door; the contest title seems to have informed this image more than the source itself. The ghostly face might be more compelling if there were dramatic lighting.

I did use the source image for the door - can't you see it ! well I'll have to make it clearer.

Nice - but you have a few shadow issues.. The pyramids shadows dont blur with the distance?? The persons feet are not matching the shadow? Also the first pyramid is in focus but the ground is blurred? A bit more work..

I truly enjoy when the source is used for multiple items in a composition. This is precisely that. Like that you use the lamp pattern for the surface.
