Not sure if a violin would be the weapon of choice, but good image!

I agree it's a well made image but the violin is only incidental to the composition. If there's a significant reason for using the violin I don't see it. It is mentioned in the rules and guidelines "In a source contest it's mandatory to use the provided source image in your entry. Not only use it, but also manipulate it in some way...". It's more impressive when the source is used to create a unique entry based on the image provided.


EDIT: @ cabldawg, The first thing I said is that it's a well made image and the story you suggest works for me as well. By significance I mean how important is the source in relation to the creation of the whole image. What's the point of a source contest if you only have to cut it out and paste it on another image even if it's a good image?

Maybe this guy is a violinist who is being tortured by a woman scorned.
Everyone has their own concept of art creation, I think the Author did a great job here.

thank you for all your comments. Spaceranger, you might not see it but you can imagine in your on way. When I was creating it, my idea was to change not the form of the violin but the function of it. As an emotional instrument, it turned into a dramatic weapon in a dramatic scene...There is a violinist guy who had an affair on her lover and this is her sort of revenge. I did choose that male image being his hands are tied up. That shows he is weak because he is guilty and how he hurt her so much that he couldn't find anyway to explain what he did..So he is tied up..And

How he hurt her deeply with love, she is hurting her with something that he loves which is music and his violin..But this was an idea that I came up with when I saw these images..If you can not imagine anything..you can not...

Very appealing image, but I don't see the 'revenge' part (critical to the 'nightmarish' requirement of the contest). [Maybe noxious CO2 emissions out the tail pipes? ]

It is nightmarish because the cars are coming back from the junkyard to kill them some humans.
