Nice take on the source, but doesn't need the drop shadows.

Nice take on the source, but doesn't need the drop shadows.
Good use of the source, I kinda like the drop shadow effect but that's my taste and I think it gives the piece a "shadow box" feel. Very nicely done!
I'm with the Spaceranger on the drop shadow thing and the use of this source. Very good.
Yes I agree with spaceranger and lchappell nice touch on the shadows..
love the smoke section..awesome pic!..
Instant fav for me..GL author.
love the drop shadow, gives it a unique feel and nice creativity
I am with spaceranger, Ichappell, Jordy and Driven! It's my taste too!!! Great job, author!
This image has a really nice feel, its art thats worth framing (in my opinion) and it would fit as an illustration in a childrens book just as easely. It reminds me of a tv show I used to watch during my early childhood, it was called "de berenboot" ( The bear boat) The image is not a simulair image, its the feel of it, it brings back the memory to those early years of my childhood and that series was one of my favourites at that time.. The image is nothing more then just the rope, shapes, colors and drop shadow. Easy to understand, yet so powerful because of the simplicity.
Simple and yet beautiful. The colors go well together. Good luck author.

Step 1: Copied an image of a rope from www.dreamstime.com to a new document
Step 2: Created each alphabet shape by using puppet warp tool
Step 3: Blending option used to get effects (5 years and 2875 days ago)
Very good idea!!!
The rope is forming the letters R o p e.
Instead the contest goal was to have the letters of a word ( for example ROPE ) form the object, in this case a rope.
So "R O P E" should be used to form a rope.

best
hehehe.. lots of fun
Nice job! Would be good to see the source for the metal rims and a SBS so we can see how you made the figure & balloon.
EDIT: Oops, sorry author! I should have looked at the source pic again before commenting.
Cute. The face of the PXLeyes character on the balloon seems flat rather than following the rounded contours of the balloon, however.
the metal rims is from image given, wait for a while for the sbs...
Very nicely done and a good idea, I'm sure mistermonty would love this!
SBS is now available.... pls see
nice one
