Just the Lasso tool, Free Transform, a little Liquify and Paintbrush adjustments along with a bit of fun.
I made a sketch as a template, and then cut pieces from the Source Image, and tweaked them to fit the sketch, merging down and painting the seams. (5 years and 3329 days ago)

I like this. It is simple. A few suggestions: Try to clean the edges just a little more and the title says its about jump rope, so add a jump rope to the image and it will look like a real sports logo, unless the white break between the red and blue is the jump rope then don't mind the comment about the jump rope. gl
