- 1: background
Big thanks to Marcus Ranum for his fantastic images...
From source image i used petals, red and white. And for the better effect i used candle and transform it to flame bowl....Petal effect demands lots of time (lots and lots crop-ing and paste-ing. Model in this picture is lovely Evaine.... (5 years and 3672 days ago)
nice! but you don't need the smoke on the candles imo
Figure is small for the scene...Where do the petals come from? Why is she holding a lit candlestick in bright light?
She fallow the petals trail and going to dark basement...lol
You might want to blur the girl a bit (it's to sharp compared to the background), then use a small blur brush and trace the outline of the girl (this will help to blend her in more). Then have a look again at her shadow, in my opinion it should go up the stairs as the light is coming from the front. It will be worth the efford and will make the image much better. Good luck
Robvdn i am just doing that. Thanks for the coment u really really have good eye...
Beautiful scene.
This looks much better author! The blending is good
nice

Very, very nice work.
I love it, good luck
Good thinking!
Excellent pic - is the kiwi reflection a bud?
This is another favorite of mine. I love the concept. Great color matching and one has to look to see that the rose is not a reflection. Again.. Very nice
Very cool one!
Oh, great!
Congrats for your third place, Lolu

EDIT: the permission for the book source is in the SBS.
Thanks to David Resenes (http://www.flickr.com/photos/dreneses/) for the beautiful book.

I made a young centaur melting a little dancer and the horse, to create a creature who reminded me the fantasy tale's atmosphere of the circus.
*
I tried to give the centaur the look of an old illustration using different patterns, and used the Circus decoration like a publishing house logo. Then i completed the word Circo using a C like base for the last O.
The dancer and the book are Flickr images. (5 years and 3729 days ago)
i love those romantic stories behind a circus... by the way.. i visit this particulair circus every year.. but i never had seen this lil cart so I took a picture because it was such a nice lil car that it tickled my fantasy. I had expected a lot of colorfull works.. but yours dont have that many colors at all and is still very pretty.. i like it
beautiful work! High marks
Simple yet outstanding love this...
Wow!
I love old books. This is really nice. Especially the flower.
this is awesome! The only little thing is the "IL CIRCO" is not centered under the design above it--I would move it over to the right just a tad. Love this.
Madrid? 1,50 pesetas? this book is Italian or Spanish? , cute image, BTW
It's a Spanish book about an Italian circus. Maybe. (n_n)

where is it
where is the source?
I would think from this work you are a newbie. I like that you have tried to be creative. To develop your creativity you may like to explore tutorials. (see link at the top of the page) Tutorials will help you create entries of a higher standard, etc. Additionally provide you with an insite to what people look for in comp entries. GL ( sorry if i have made a mistake and your not a new artist)
I see the source but it's barely used and your background resolution is way too different. I am guessing you are new too so Welcome to PXLeyes and don't get discouraged.
