Great idea! It could be better If the rose was bigger. Moreover, try to set light's bleding option to overlay or sth else and make it more transparent! 
I made the rose bigger and I made the light more realistic and transparent! I hope this makes it a little better!

The shininess of the lens flare doesn't really fit the texture of the rose as perfectly as it could have - I wonder if it could have been dampened somewhat. Good luck.
