Everything created from source leaf except background texture layer by nasirkhan at morguefile.com Leaves are 'skeletonized' as often is done in flower arranging. (5 years and 2822 days ago)

Not used a source or even as reference, just adding it to the description. I don't feel the image is finished but time is running out. (5 years and 2836 days ago)
Although the source image is completely unrecognizeable, this is quite a clever chop. I'd like to see better definition on the veining of the leaves, and maybe a few of the roses not so stretched widthwise, but still is very nice. Maybe add a little vase and some shadows. Background texture and its colors work well, too. Good luck, author.
thnx very much, I agree on most parts of your comment pearlie.I had this Idea to make roses for a while but I did not had the time to start sooner. At the last day I decided have a go at it when I finally could make the time for it. But it turned out not to be enough time after all.
I had wanted to have a more recognizable source for the stem to begin with. I like the background although it makes the pointy edges of the leafs invisible. Had I more time I would have worked on them to stand out more and the leafs to have sharper edges, they kinda blurred away at the final result unfortunately.
I ran out of time to do a better job on the shadows however a vase I don't want to add. Its a rushed job and I can see it too. There are also a few white edges on the roses that I should have erased.
I will work some more on it to make it better just for myself.

Alice was nothing but a trouble maker. (5 years and 2923 days ago)
i don't like roses on the ground because of shading and paint on brush is to blurry, but overall is nice work
Nice image, but the skin tones are too magenta. A warming filter, or a selective color adjustment to the reds, adding more yellow should help this a lot.
Great composition..
That she was, although her intentions were generally good. Nice take on the story, well executed.

Good choice of images and good job on the coloring. Only the blending needs some work. The lower edges of the girl are too soft. I think they need to be sharper and needs a little shadow (just a very thin line). There is a lot of empty space above the girl; it would look better if you placed the girl more to the side of the image, crop a large part from the top, and moved the moon to the open space.
But overall it's a nice image
I think I'd prefer the roses to be more prominent in the picture - but I love the scene that you've created. Well done
