Source is from a blog, and not usable...no source for the moon image. Please read http://www.pxleyes.com/blog/2009/06/how-and-where-to-find-legal-source-images/
You should be able to find lots of usable images for your concept.
Your sources are okay now but I think the brushes used aren't too good. You can find a better image of the Moon here: http://www.flickr.com/search/?q=moon+photos&l=deriv&ss=2&ct=0&mt=photos&w=all&adv=1
There are many good free star brushes available like this set: http://www.obsidiandawn.com/space-photoshop-gimp-brushes

Holly Hayes of Sacred Destinations is the photographer of this image

I have put this here because the mod's have asked me to although it is clearly stated in the link that I can use this image under the "creative commens" agreement (5 years and 3588 days ago)
You really could fix this. The face is obvious it's chopped. Try using liquefy to shape it better.
It's better but the shadows are also upsidedown. But at leas the face fits now.

cut out head image and pasted onto rushmore image. blended with erase tool and adjusted with hue saturation tool. (5 years and 3641 days ago)
It would be nice to see a high resolution version of this. I like the idea!
a bit cliché in my opinion, but good colour matching. Perhaps boost up the contrast a bit.
I'd think the metal feather would have to go, but not bad otherwise...
I worked on something similar once I saw your entry I stopped I will post it in forums
nice idea but would love to see the high res for a fair judgement
