Clouds were done with mura'smeister filters link in sources

The water reflection was done with vm natural filter using lakeside reflection I'm sorry I don't have a link to them

Spec Thanks to Darwin Bell for use of his seagul picture found on flickr photo sharing link there (5 years and 3575 days ago)

Perspective on deck is wrong.

watch the perspective...

a sailboat from tarp chairs? where did you get the inspiration?

avatar erathion
erathion says:

Very nice idea....boat is to flat, perspective is wrong, and reflection need's a lot more work.Try to spend a bit more time author, because this could be very very nice work...good luck

avatar demi
demi says:

very nice

avatar Martrex
Martrex says:

Nice idea but agree about the boat angle, to see that much into the boat you would have to be farther above the boat or it would be leaning a lot towards the viewer

author says:

Hey Thanks guys but what if the boat were tipping in the water?.....No?

author says:

Ok here's a little less tilt and a little less wave and without waves more reflection. What do you guys think?...any better?

avatar Barnacle
Barnacle says:

It is improved, but you wouldnt see into a boat while looking from the side view. I like the reflection but perhaps lower it's opacity

author says:

Barnacle Thanks is this what you ment on reflection ? is this better than other which is shown in step by step. I changed prespective from original if the boat were tipped a little you would see a little inside no?

avatar jawshoewhah
jawshoewhah [banned] says:

Reflection needs a lot of work and the sky would never look like that, with the clouds. They would disappear more in the distance, back again to the perspective.

I gotta split hairs. Because that's what I do. It's not a map. It's a chart. Haha! I love this though. That ship is spectacular!

Nicely done! Everything but the out of focus compass in the background works for me...it's kinda distracting.

I think i would have liked it better if you had placed the boat in a real sea. however the boat you build looks real nice, except the stuff you made on the sail.. but i guess opinions differ nice clean chop
