Photoshop illustrated pirate ship on a beautiful sunset backdrop. (5 years and 3441 days ago)
wow this is great
yep got to agree with Tuckinator
At least give it a skull & crossbones flag...otherwise it's just another sailing ship. Also, the hull needs a shadow as well as the sails...
I see plenty of shadow on the side of the ship and the water, as a matter of fact I can even see a skull and cross bones on a whole sail...I take you are still wearing too dark of a pair of shades CMKY. BTW author welcome to pxleyes.
Have to agree with Ichappell.. it's a swell image.. great find for the back ground
i see the shadows and the sail bears the Davy Jones matey
yep got to agree with lchappell, Drivenslush, cabldawg71,and Tuckinator
Thanks for all the positive comments!
Aye, matey, very nice drawing indeed. I see the shadows and indeed she bears a skull 'n crossbones....... it's there in the shadows, real stealth-like.
Cool. The low sun would stretch the shadow image, not compress it, however. (And I think that might also add to the drama of the image.) More challenging is figuring out how the rough surface of the water would distort the shadow falling on it.
I wonder, how did you put the skull and cross bones on the sail? Did you draw them yourself?
any water-like effect on the shadow would be nice. ripple may be ?
Welcome and nice job. looks dead sexy!!

UFO wasn't blurry in early steps...try to fix that.
Yep, I agree with CMYK. Remove the blur filter of the UFO...

thanks to liber for the alien picture
forgot to mention the brushes.. thanks to Sunira (5 years and 3503 days ago)
Wow, nice chop! But please include all your sources used, unless you made the planets yourself, an SBS would help. GL!
yea made the planets myself... but i will make an SBS so there isnt any confusion
I think this is glorious, the depth is amazing, love it, good luck author
thank you both for the comments
Who are you? The E.T. with dreadlocks?
Amazing work, author!
hahahah rastaferian alien. thats awesome! nice chop, and concept. Thumbs up!
Thanks for all the nice comments
very cool idea. ya, mon.
excellent...... Love it.... good luck author.
Creative and cool idea. The hippie wardrobe on the alien is very odd, however. (Why not apply some effects -- e.g., filters or different blend modes with duplicate layers -- to the hat and scarf separately to see if you can come up with fashion more 'alien'?) And there is no drama as the tones are pretty even across the image. I think your SBS Step 2 is compelling but Step 3 is bland, flat wallpaper IMO which translates into a flat final image (which then isn't particularly understandable without the explanation of your title).
lots of fun texture play here.. good luck author
great work......... all the best to u author...........
thank you all for the comments!!
I commented on your SBS. It explains how you made them but if you wanted to, put a few more steps into the SBS and try to pass it off as a guide, they might just buy it. I was just impressed with how well you make your background and would not mind knowing specifics.
That was a compliment BTW
Added a New SBS that goes more in depth.. Hope it is useful.
Thanks jawshoewhah for the tip
Great idea great work Author nice sbs for sure and ty for the brushes link.
