It's good that you added an SBS, it helps members evaluate the work and maybe learn something.( Remember everyone has different skill levels.)
The idea of the snow is good but snowflakes are six pointed crystals. May I suggest trying one of these brushes: http://browse.deviantart.com/?qh=&section=&global=1&q=snow+brushes
They're really good and will give you a variety of snow effects.
