I took the two most obvious sources i could see and stuck them together. Bit lazy and not very imaginative.
But here it is.
HAVE UPDATED THIS WITH A FEW CHANGES BASED ON COMMENTS AND ADVICE. HOPE IT IS BETTER (5 years and 3830 days ago)
ALl I did was crop and then darken the image then played like crazy with dodge tool to "turn on lights" here and there. (5 years and 3893 days ago)
i like it, it seems some how magical
good
I love the mood of the image...Dodge and burn tools usually ruin the pixels of an image...Try creating a new layer and using a soft paintbrush with opacity set to 10% so you can control how much or how little you want. Use white or black depending on shadow or highlight..Good Luck
Thank you, Christy! I just might try that...excellent technique tip - although, I may never give up dodge and burn completely because I like the pixel distortion sometimes..it can give an irridescent flake look. Again, Great tip!
Author I agree sometimes the flakey look is exactly what you want Sometimes I use other colors when I'm painting to give it that look too...Glad my tip helped

Its got the humour vote, but not much else. Although it is well put together and actually doesn't look too bad. Maybe you should think about entering this contest also: http://www.pxleyes.com/photoshop-contest/7135/old-barn.html
It was not really a serious entry just a bit of fun combining two contests. But thanks for the comment
