blaine2nd: "How many dogs howling at the moon will we see?"
Decided to try the other way around :) (5 years and 2920 days ago)
PLEASE SEE HIRES VERSION!!!!
I took a picture of a girl in a white jump suit type thing and went crazy with stars and space and such, this is what happened :) (5 years and 2930 days ago)
I love your entry but it needs one more adjusting, the planet in source 8 is someone elses photoshop work and you cant use it. http://www.flickr.com/photos/imaginedreality/170835601/in/photostream
also wheres the uncut photo of the girl? the on in the steps already has it cut.
I do love this image, the colors and the composition, the subject. its just fantastic great work and yes please do see this in highres its definately worth it.
OH THANKS ELADINE!!! I didn't even notice that, I'll get on replacing that planet right away! Also, I'll have to dig up the original photo too, I didn't save it unedited in the file I worked on. I may have to go back to the raw file and redevelop one.
And thanks Nator I might mess around with that a bit
I can just see this in poster format or in the postcard racks... you know those postcards with the special metalic printing? this would be so nice with that. beautiful work.
OH YES!! I know exactly what you mean about the metallic printing, that would be SO AWESOME!
Thanks again for your help! I ended up using the same moon picture used for the middle planets, to remake the one in the corner. I think it looks much better now anyway
Also I added the original pic to my SBS.
@ Nator, good suggestion, I made her a bit more "glowy" and added some more smoke and little glowing particles!
People should check out the hires before voting. It's really a treat at high res. Nice work as usual author!
Thanks pixelkid!! And yes I feel like this piece doesn't have the same impact in the smaller image as it does in hires
That's a wonderful image..love the idea and the result..hi res is a must see..Great job author!

Pic of my brother flying in space (5 years and 2946 days ago)
IMO would be better if "Space Bob" was more visible, but it's an interesting idea.

The astronaut took his doll with him to visit the MOON.

Not sure if your source is usable...that would be up to the mods...but you need to include the shadow of the doll in your image.
The source is usable, I used NASA images in other tutorials I submitted online and it wasn't a problem. Yeah, I know the execution lacks but I was in a hurry (aka lazy) and I think in this specific case the concept is more important. Right??

good work author...
Where is the manipulation at ??
lol @ meatman
meatman, check the flags behind him, he may have changed them a little. lol
lovelly work. i try some colorizing from time to time but i dont have that much patience. it takes to long. but you'v managed to do it really nicelly.
good luck
pardon me. I took it as a color photo that was changed to black and white. lol
I agree with pshoudini it takes a lot of patience to do that kind of work
and u certainly did it..high marks for that author!! GL.
great job author, though I think you need to work on the color of the skin right up to the hair line, his gray hair is running into the scalp, great job all round (IMHO)

This is a good study in proportioning. I'm kind liking it.
The light source is from the right, so the Earth should be flipped accordingly.
I know the Earth looks way too big and the craters way too small but it was not meant to be realistic. More of a, Dog in a space suit standing in front of a wallpaper, thing. But as CMYK46 mentioned, I messed up the lighting and positioning a bit
Thank you for the comments! I'll try and fix it ASAP
if we can see the curvature of the moon then we should see the same shadow on the earth (easy fix)
good luck
