very simple, although with my skill level took a long time.
I altered perspective and split the picture. hand drew the colours to appear as lava/magma. blended the top image. added a few lightning effects and altered the lighting. (5 years and 3827 days ago)

Pretty original indeed. The lightning (the one in the background, I mean) is a bit distracting, imo. Good luck!

If you want lightning in a clear sky, get rid of the part that's in front of the building. I'd get rid of it altogether, but that's up to you...the rest is well done!
