i would only suggest to remove the shadows below the zip.. it looks like that the zip is floating rather than its pasted on the orange...

There is a tutorial for creating a similar image, if you used the tutorial be sure to leave credit

Personally I would make the image bigger, and the zip takes too much focus and therefore looks a bit pasted on rather than being part of the orange. Perhaps if you masked out the sides of the zipper and left the teeth, or toned the colour to match the orange more.
Still for a first entry this is very nice!

Splendid idea. Gotta agree with previous commentators. A smaller zipper and better blending with the orange. Crop the image (to make it appear larger) and add some little extra the background and this will be a good one.

Great image, have a couple of suggestions, the effect would be more convicting if the apple was tighter to the edge of the orange skin and there is a masking issue with the zipper I can still see the fabric edge……

Go with Warlock's suggestions. So much better with a smaller zipper, good improvements..
