It is certainly an abstract composition, but nicely put together. Personally, I would just like to have seen a bit more focus on the source image.

I used Desaturate on the apple, I moved the apple over the target, adjusted size, Filter - Distort - Spherize. I used Overlay. Then I removed the extra colour that didn't fit the apple image. (5 years and 3661 days ago)
