Took source photo, copied it, flipped over copy and formed new picture with mirror image. Cut out skull and placed over copied face at low opacity. Then created new skull image by warping, painting, burning, dodging over skull image until it matched face. Also erased any portion of skull that covered hair. (5 years and 3005 days ago)

Interesting and weird! I know it would be quite a bit more work, but if you try and vary some of the neck parts a bit...it'll look a bit less repetitive. Varying highlights and edges and such. Either way it's well done.

No offence, but clonning could be improved. You could either spend some more time on repairing, using pen tool selections, patience & energy - or you could just crop the image, so that the ball ends up in the low-right part of the image, and that's it .

Was trying to create the feeling of a contemplative person looking into himself and future. Trying to convey a parallel image more than alternative image. Didn't want reflective image to be merely a skeleton or other unrecognizable image too removed from source image and subject's self-perception..
I see what you mean author, but skulls don't have hair.
