very nice construction author...especially on the legs...GL
Thanks.
No high res image?
I checked the check box for high-res. I don't know why it didn't save as high-res
Author, you can resubmit with "Save hi res" checked...no reason it shouldn't work. GL.
I did twice, something not working. I'll try again later
Nice entry! Only suggestion would be a harder edge on the leg and a shadow under the hat. Good luck!
Author, I'm not sure how big you started your entry out as, but it seems you need to make it high res first, meaning a good size would be at least 1000 PXs high and wide but a good size is 2000 to 3000 pxls. If you started with a low res canvas to begin with, then it won't give you high res just by checking the box.
That is probally what I did wrong. I tend just to make a 7by5 inch new canvas and pull the new layers in.
Thanks for the advice though, should help in the future

3 inch photo taken of my father two years after WWII holding my eldest sister.
My father would do the diapers in morning so my mom could sleep (he worked the night shift 4 to midnite
the lack of detail makes it very difficult to paint these tiny pictures but I used the soft light blender and it really helps a lot. The print version comes out quite well though I do prefer the video/monitor version much better because its easier to view and the illusion of detail is awesome (5 years and 3287 days ago)
lovely picture! and nice work
very very nice work author...great colorization of course but i think that the best thing in this image is the feel of the old times...Picture is colored but the old days mood is there too...well done
aww. what a nice thing to use to color ! it has alot of value sentimentally.
i think if i were you, i would have considered playing with the exposure of the original shot. the light is so bright it kinda blows out the detail of the baby, and makes the blanket/cap look odd because its such a dramatic change in color from the over exposed area to the shadowed area.
and something else, for future thought, perhaps you could look into tutorials on photo restoration, take out some of the age and wear spots on the photo, yet keep the old time feel and nostalgia. GOOD LUCK!
Sweet! Now I know where you get your good looks.

Gee whiz author, where did those comments go?
ahhhh...this baby's look so spooky...fresco filter fits very nice with the spooky mood...GL author
Some craquleque filter with, displacement or warp would creep this more
wasn't going for creepy, more spooky thanks greymval
LOL, dialed in the wild child! Those eyes are definitely spooky, dark blue monotone coloring fits.

Nice. Add some more blur to the flowers in the back and -if needed- also a little bit of blur in your background, so that the DoF works better and the flowers in the foreground will pop out more. Good luck!
Thanks wazowski, played with your suggestions and reposted after modification.
Nice chopping! Good work.
Lots of work in there. Nice blending. The lightings and trees lead to the bright flowers. The flower bunch IMO could be sharper and counts lesser. The grass behind bunch needs bit sharpness. Overall, good compilation. GL
Thanks locale, redone again... I shot for a mix between wazowski's and your suggestions. I have to admit, it looks better having listened to you both!

Love the lion's expression! GL author.
Nice job, author! I like all the various transformations of parts. One small suggestion...maybe if you soften your edges a bit, it will blend a bit better. Like the use of the image as your background as well...nice source usage here.
Great construction author...Lion looked so pissed...LOL...best of luck
