Good job man
URP!! hehehe.. (My boss had this problem) awesome work author (Love how you took an impossibly blurry photo and merged so well.. )
awww, thanks
and slush, thats where i have to say, i didn't actually merge it. just used it as a base to build the rest of the face. i needed a reference for the mouth after countless tries to get it done...i found that picture in a folder of "throw away" style shots, and figured..hey...thats about right. and painted from there. it was a layer all of its own and just used to base the rest of it.
Perfect! It seems that his chin was always there, I mean, of course he has a chin, but we couldn't see it 'till now.
He must have had the hot sauce at Taco Bell
very nice work!

good idea == shadow needs some work -- lion shadow needs to be more away from the lion to add depth as does the rings as it is now they appear to be falling on the air not the building

Left hand has six fingers. Some explanation in the SBS would be good in addition to just pics.
Wow, I sure miss sculling! Author, your idea and painting are good (minus that extra finger), however unless the man is using a rowing machine, propped up on that boardwalk, then he's really out of place. A sculler who IS using those oars (usually 9 1/2' - 10' long), would be in/on the water! Also, the position of his right hand isn't quite correct, it would not be gripping the end of the oar. My suggestion is to simply change the background to water and sky only. I'll wait to vote. Check this out in hi-res: http://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelwm25/3687567372/ Nice work otherwise.
good work!
.....nice catch CMYK
Cmyk46 I believe if you look closely in hi res you will see only 5 fingers on his left hand and the other being his thumb on the right hand. and perlie I always have my hand on the end of the oar when stroking.,more leverage.as for the sbs it is all painted and textured
Title says it all ... Statue on a Pier ...so (IMO) it would look out of place on the water ... but I still count 6 fingers on the left hand (actually it is 5 fingers with the thumb out of sight but the eye sees, what the eyes wants to see and just knowing the thumb is there makes it 6)!
Now ... all that aside, it is a wonderful image and you have done amazing things with the source! Bravo!
Author, there are 5 fingers showing on the left hand...the thumb would be on the inside & not visible.
I will fix it
See last sbs step
clever and excellent drawing...., Good luck
Could just rename it Anne Boleyn's Brother
("Anne Boleyn was rather tall of stature, with black hair, and an oval face of a sallow complexion, as if troubled with jaundice. She had a projecting tooth under the upper lip, and on her right hand six fingers [which historians now know to be false"
Excellent work author, the image is very well made
Good.
