This is really well thought out and I really like the lighting you've achieved, but your SBS leaves much to be desired.

I did that because a mod asked what the source was for the sign and ladder. But there's none and it's easy to make it yourself. IMO its about the outcome and not about the SBS...

Author, I agree with you that the final outcome should be more important than the SBS. When I first started submitting entries I didn't want to make SBS's because I had just spent all this time on my image. I then realized that it let people see how much work really goes into your work. I also think this site is a learning environment because the SBS's. I enjoy your work and look forward to seeing more.

the 3rd one should be smaller and blurred but it's a good job

the third is smaller...but yes, each one as it goes back should be blurred just a bit more than the one before it

I made the smallest one a bit smaller thanks hereisasnoop. k5683 thanks, I did have a blur on the 2nd and 3rd but only slightly, I blurred the small one a little more, the second matches the depth of field and if you see the farm buildings behind it they are fairly sharp still. The light source is in front and left of the tripods erathion, notice lighting on the buildings (see original source for clarity, long shadows cast by tree etc.). The red glow in the background is from the burning devastation by the alien machines.

U are right author,light source is there in the original,but if u like to stay like that adjust a bit sky behind the creatures.Now looks like sun falling behind the hills...U have that orange shine there...

Trust me on this erathion, I've seen my share of burning villages over the hills and they do look like this.

Do you think this arms and hands are bigger than normal, author ? Just 3/4 this size, but keep the length should be more reasonable . Without seeing your SBS, I though the arms are the 3D product , you drew them so nice. Best luck to you, author

dont take me wrong. the idea is great, but the place looks empty and abandoned. maybe if you put some people around in spacesuit and a spaceship in the driveway makes it look more realistic. I wiil hold my vote for now. good luck

Light on the building is from upper right, and opposite on the rocks.

I agree about light...But idea is great if u fix that u will have great image.Just flip the rock and do some masking...best of luck author

Very creative use of Source 3 (Arizona rock formation), but lighting could be refined and the image does seem lifeless with all the dark windows.

I'm wondering how to get there to have a lunch...

Thanks for the comments guys, I`ve neutralised the lighting and burned and dodged to preserve some highlights hope its better . As far as the lack of life, I chose an abandoned looking source on the basis that being a resturant in an unusual place wouldnt get alot of trade . I`d rather stick to that theory based on this restaurant being highly inaccessable but I do respect your opinions.
