As with a previous entry, IMHO would be better if her feet were on the ground. There would also be splashes coming off her. On second look, she'd be smaller due to perspective. (PS: It's good you got rid of the dog. )

author says:

Thx for the advice CMYK46, i will try to fix it

This was a bit tricky because there is three light sources.
The circle I duplicated and rotated it around.

If you tone down the highlights on the red circle from the source, this would look much better, You have an interesting idea, but it just doesn't fit in this scene light wise or light source wise. The masking could do with a bit of work as well.

avatar jaescoe21
jaescoe21 says:

try adding some shadow from the head and the stick because you have light and light will make shadows.

Complement colors, nice

Bad, bad edges...clean this up for a better vote...the idea's not bad. Use pen or lasso tool to extract images neatly.

avatar jawshoewhah
jawshoewhah [banned] says:

You can also use liquefy/push tool to make the edges strait. You also might want to put a ripple effect where the ring touches the water.

idea is great but croping is not that good...good luck author

Edit:
Change the background hue, burn the nerves of the leaves and modify the layer style of some leaves. (5 years and 3580 days ago)

avatar CMYK46
CMYK46 says:

Not a bad image, but change the background hue to create depth & it will have more dimension.

avatar divair
divair says:

Nice work and it'll be better if you follow CMKY's suggestion. Good tutorial too

avatar Lodd
Lodd says:

Maybe add some less sharp leaves to. to give the image a dof...

avatar wazowski
wazowski says:

Apart from what's written above, maybe the use of (I guess) drop shadow doesnt work everywhere. The shadow would fall on underlying leaves, not on the background which -I assume- is way further away. Right now the shadows against the background make the image flat, while it can have loads of depth (in combination with above's comments). Good luck!

author says:

Loads of depth.Attempt to improve, I'm not good at drawing. Thanks.

For anyone who can't tell, I have used the shadow from the source image for the rope & the stickman with the addition of eyes and arms.

The other image used was from www.sxc.hu with thanks to gahanka (5 years and 3582 days ago)

Really nice idea, but kinda hard to see, even in high resolution.

avatar jawshoewhah
jawshoewhah [banned] says:

I can see it just fine. You turned it into a bokeh.. sorta. I think it's a unique entry author. It still might be considered a minimal use of source but still a good blend and unique entry.
