You may have seen this scene if you happened to have visited Goldilocks's bear friends. I used Pheonix from Aviary.com to create this image. The bears were extracted from their original image and inserted into the lovely cottage scene. A duplicate of the bear layer was made and masked with a lowered alpha to create the shadow of the bears. The source photos are available via the creative commons licence (5 years and 3623 days ago)

I've extended the story: Bear ate some of the pie. And in this illustration Masha is very upset telling: Didn't I tell you not to stop, and not to eat those pies?! Age of the girl: of course she is too little, but then it is explains why pies came out so harmful. :D Picture of a girl is my own, she is granddaugter of my husband. I LOVE Russian faerie tales! I wrote a faerie tale of my own based on elements that I found in Russian tales. This one was lovely.
the little girl is much brighter than the rest of the image but other than that it looks nice

The little match girl is a fairytale written by the danish H. C. Andersen in 1848. It is about a little poor girl selling matches. It is christmas time, it starts to snow and she freezes to death. People walk past her, nobody seems to notice her. One of the scenes in the fairytale is when she burns up her last matches to try to get warmth. The ending is very sad, but it is a comfort that an angel comes to get her.
