cut out the climber using the lasso tool, then i used filters to color him in. Cut out a 2 pieces and beveled one to make the ledge and the other i used as a rock to put over his legs

Nice image. A gradient mask on the reflection might have helped allowing it to fade away towards the bottom.

The "horse's" body is a bit too liquified imo, but for the rest you succeeded pretty well in what your idea was, well done! Tiny suggestion: Don Quijote could do with a bit more contrast. A way to do that is to add some of the lighter clouds from the original behind the Don. Up to you if yuo'd like it or not. Good luck!

it really is too bad that the low res does not do this justice... PEEPS... LOOK AT THE HIGH RES.. it's like a totally different image the detail is spellbinding
i think this is very artisitc...
the idea is great, very dali. Too bad you haven't adjust de image quality - in high res is really disturbing

Nice idea. What I dont get, the crane in the original looks way sharper than in this entry. There's no way to make the bird sharper again? Also, compare the shadows from the source pic to the shadows that you made for the crane. In the source it's more greenish, perhaps you'd like to adjust that. Good luck!
Yeap, like waz said make the crane sharper, add the crane's head in the picture, add the fish head from the other contest into it's beak and you got yourself an entry!
