I like what you did. Perhaps put some variations of tone on the street maze. Darken some and lighten areas of others to give a less 'flat' look. Great idea otherwise!

avatar helenm
helenm says:

pixelkid, I agree. The "road-maze" needs some fixes but the idea is just hilarious. Woudl love to see something like that live To author, Try to give your maze some perspective. The borders are too sharp (per my taste) and yes, the "flat look". Will wait for updates.

avatar Warlock
Warlock [banned] says:

Very good idea still needs a little work tho.... the maze it's self is to sharp compared to the original source & the shadows are a little to dark & hard

GuitardoG says:

Great idea but the point of a maze is that there are many ways to go but only one way to get out, this has no wrong way. Good Luck

avatar wazowski
wazowski says:

Nice idea, but agreed with what pixelkid and Guitardog say. Just put some walls on the middle of the road, that'll teach those car drivers! Good luck!

thank you all for your tips, I think I realized them all. To perfect the chaos I gave some lane indication arrows to the circle, so that nobody knows where to drive. (May I remark that I don't want to live there!)

These guys are jamming on a little wooden stage by the beach with a bonfire in the background.

I used a few outside sources and blended them together with the source image.

I don't have an SBS.

Hope you like it. (5 years and 3736 days ago)

very nice work.. your source pic is lacking in resolution but good capture.. you may want to clean up the work around the younger man's head (the back drum should match the blur of the other drums in order to complete the perspective).. but it's a very good concept.. good luck(the shekere thingies are really cool, never saw those before.. LOVE THEM)

avatar CMYK46
CMYK46 says:

I know your source pic was grainy to begin with...if you had added some film grain to the other pics and blurred the fire a bit, you could have unified the look.

avatar Tuckinator

neat

avatar gopankarichal

good idea. In the high res view some cutout issues are there(head area), and in picture clarity difference is there(background is clean and people picture full noise) correct it.

author says:

Why didn't I listen to myself. I knew the picture of the drummers was not clear enough. Thanks for the suggestions, I'll see what I can do...

author says:

I made some changes. I hope this looks better... thanks again for your help... I learned another trick...

avatar elficho
elficho says:

nice idea. nice mood i think you put maybe a bit too much grain on the two guys. and those shekeres (? ) are too sharp i think.

author says:

The men had a lot of grain from the get go. I tried to sharpen them and add some grain to the rest of the image. The shekeres were very nice and clear originally. I added grain, but I guess they still look clear... thanks for commenting elficho

Woah.. this is a very low quality image, it's nice, but it's hard to appreciate with all those sharp pixels sticking out. Good luck!

The Lanterns Tree - created by Nellista

The Lanterns Tree
Favs: 3SBS: n/aHi-resRank: 5/11Score: 58.5% (15)43037 views

I selected one of the lanterns from source image, copy/paste numerous times, resize, flip and positioned them differently in the tree.
Selected leaves from another tree image, warped, resized and positioned them differently on and in between branches. Masked them to create a better blend with the branches.
Made the lanterns glow by using different tones of yellow on a soft brush. Changed blending mode to screen, added gaussian blur and lowered opacity till I could still see a bit of the lanterns.
Added contrasts and shadows using gradients and different blending modes.
Added high pass filter for better definition. (5 years and 3737 days ago)
