Clever and amusing. The planets need more shading to appear less flat and more like 'marbles' in the box. The back half of Saturn's rings should be inside the box bottom. (I like the slits in the box cover for the front half of the rings.) The labeling on the cover side is extremely bland [euphemism for 'boring']. Something shorter like "The Planets in a Box" spread across the entire front in colored, kid-friendly type would be more appealing.

itgik, I hated Uranus for having rings after I did Saturn, but they are comparitivly mild so I decided not to include them . I agree with Pluto, keeping it for old times sake, but damn I didn't know how many other Pluto sized objects there are: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:EightTNOs.png

Very nice job on the drawing here! The only reason I deduct points here is because it's pretty much ONLY drawing...a mix of both photo just seems to fit the theme of a photoshop contest over, say, a drawing contest. But the image is still great...good luck!

While I think this is very cute and probably on theme, I agree with gamemastertips that a mix incorporating a photo would be nice — but clearly not required by the contest description. Additionally, I think the description is overdone (and largely inexplicable relative to the image). Just like you shouldn't have to explain a joke, you shouldn't have to explain an image beyond its title.

Nice attempt and almost good result..., I suggest you to paint with spatter or charcol brush to make it more impressive (think it will help you in the future). and also have time for adding lights too.., good luck

I'm not sure, its my opinion, but I think that you have an amazing entry, but it would be even more AMAZING ( I think) If you didn't make the nails orange.. But thats just me.. Still very good work

The idea and work are pretty convicting well done! I agree with Toothpick134 tho the orange nails are not adding anything to the image I would say they are detracting it.

I also think the image will have more impact if only the bowl is colored.

Unfortunately I have to agree with the rest of the flog here.. would be better without the nails. But very good work with the bowl..
