cool idea
good 1, bt the television is looking a bit tilted IMO, good luck
Great idea and very nice work author...My advice is to create 2 color adjustment layers to achieve better blending...brown color layer and golden soft light layer could work...best of luck
Very cool!
Thanks everyone! I updated my entry.
Chromathoughts, I fixed the tv shadow so it wouldn't look tilted, hope this is better.
Erathion, thanks for the tip. I couldn't quite figure out the best color to use for blending. Think this works?
yup, looks much better now, gud luck !

The Tiger source is mine. The background is thanks to night fate on SXC.hu and the bat wings purchased from istockphoto. Receipt included in SBS. (5 years and 3473 days ago)
very nice image however, the cloud of sand under the tiger doesn't quite look right, i think a better background would be better suited apart from that very well done
Agree! I like the image, but the sand needs a bit of work. Perhaps a new layer with a soft brush to paint in some dust cloud? Good luck!
BTW, I think the tiger is on a wrong place (desert) IMO, but...
Thanks for your comments. I made some changes to the dust cloud.
cool

With the pentool I've cut the tiger out. I've made a copy of the tiger and I've mirrored the image upside down and I've used liquify and then twirl. I've smoothen the edges of the tiger with the smudge tool. Thanks to mothdevil morguefile and MeiTeng sxc (5 years and 3487 days ago)
Good job on this one. Couple of nitpicks though. The reflection should start where the water starts not where the paws end in the water. Also the water would travel further back on the back legs. Good luck!
Very good job on this! Just some suggestions..the brightness of the tiger is a little more than the surrounding areas and it looks like it has an intense light source from above which isn't showing in the water anywhere. Also help to blend the legs into the water a little...Really great image!! Best of Luck =)
The reflection shouldn't be skewed, so for example, the mouth reflection should be straight down from the actual mouth. As Chalty669 alluded to, you overlooked the reminder in the contest description that "a 3D shape in water needs to have a 3D cuttingline where it hits the water." The front legs aren't flat, so the water line around them should curve, etc.
Aside from the above comments, the light source is from the left, so the tiger should be flipped.
agree on the light source...light source on the reflection doesn't match the current one either...tiger should be flipped to match the reflection
This image have lots of potential author...make some adjustments and u will have fantastic entry...good luck
nice...............
nice improvement!

The enlarged eye is too blurry. Great concept, but the purpose of magnification is to see something larger and clearer.
Really clever idea and love the song!
I have to agree with Mossy ... perhaps instead of enlarging the eye you could reduce the rest of the Tiger ... your image is quite large and you could easily reduce it to 1200-1500 pixels wide (a lot of monitors are no more than 1280x1024) and still have a decent High res. Also, in high res the edges of the Magnifying glass are a bit rough (to help this you can select the Glass, contract selection by 1 or 2 px then apply a layer mask and blur slightly or you can create a new layer and set blur tool on "sample all layers" and blur the edge then erase away what you don't want ...or if you don't like either of those could just go over the edge with the blur tool but you don't have as much control.
Edit: MUCH BETTER!
Would be even more dramatic if you could introduce a bit more brightness in eye and some color. I realize that this goes beyond logic...but it would make the image stand out even more. Then again...is there logic holding a magnifying glass up to an animal such as this? Anything goes!
cool thinking...GL author
