This was just for fun.....

great idea ! awesome imagination ! very well executed
nicely assembled picture
Creative and clever. (I wish you had replaced the drink with the teeth mug -- more amusing and I think the image would be better balanced.)
Thankyou for the comments and Dan, you were right. I've removed the soda and moved the denture glass into it's place. I had been thinking of doing that as well, but your suggestion convinced me to go ahead. Hope it looks ok now.
Niiiiiice!
The mug looks like it's floating because it doesn't have a little shadow around its base -- see the bottoms of the condiment dispensers or even the near edge of the flatware. (BTW if you have a glass mug, you could put water in it and position it in front of a checkerboard to see which edges are actually transparent [rim and outer handle edge not so much] and how the curved, thick-glass handle and the water distort the checkerboard.)
Thankyou again Dan for the suggestions, I repaired the shadow on the mug and made the handle and edges of the cup more opaque. Thankyou everyone else for your kind comments
Very good work author...good luck

I really debated adding the rain, but decided to go ahead and add it. (5 years and 3541 days ago)
This is very a minimal amount of work. You really should try to do more with the source. Look at other entries to see the possibilities.
@spaceranger I'm really sorry you feel that way. I have over 3 hrs of work on this piece. I have viewed the other entries and I take offense of what you said. Now I feel like I could of spent 2hrs 50mins less to meet your needs.
Yea I can tell you put some time into this man. Came out really cool. Nice dusky feel.
The work is clean and does look good, my point is that imagination and an original concept attracts greater interest and attention. We do have contests that are photo-retouching oriented from time to time and this would fare nicely in those. I never intend to offend rather to encourage your creativity. You show good chopping skills...push the envelope a bit and I'm sure we'll see some really great work from you.
I like the effect you achieved with the lights. Good luck.
lol I'd rather see clean work like this than half the other entries in this contest.. don't worry author.
Thanks everyone for your comments! @spaceranger, I understand now what you were trying to say. I guess sometimes I pay more attention to details instead of being more creative with the entry.
I love the change! The girl and the dog fit the mood beautifully and suggest a back story we can only imagine. Well done! I look forward to more of your work. Good Luck!
Yeah, I like this too. Where the water leaves the balconies looks a bit heavy but there it meets the ground looks great (detailed). I'd like to see a high res. Nice rain and rain drops. She'd have more shelter under the nearest right balcony but.. Very nice work and I looks forward to more too
You've certainly improved this. Nice work! Realistic and nice mood.
good
Nice improvements, well done
Very nice work author, it deserves a good place, well done!
Beautiful entry.......Definitely a fav of mine......Good Luck to you!!
I like the rain, specially flowing from the balconies! Tell us how you did it!
@erikuri: Thanks for the comment. For the rain I add a new layer with a fill of 50% gray. Added noise and did a motion blur the direction of the rain. Then set the layer mode to overlay. For the rain coming off the balconies, I did another layer, went to layer styles. Changed the fill to 0% and added an inner glow. Then with a white brush 100% painted the falls. For the drops on the ground added another layer filled with gray. Added noise and then did charcoal filter. Adjusted the levels and then set the blend mode to screen. Then just adjusted the prospective of the layer. Hope this helps.
Congratulations!
congrats!
Big congrats from me!
