Titian's "Allegory of Time Governed by Prudence", although described as Mannerism falls under the "Late Renaissance" period.
The painting has a wise old man, a rough bearded man and an almost whimsical young man, and as a huge Lord of the rings fan this is where I went .... (5 years and 3124 days ago)

yep, looks more digital then painted
The whites of the eyes of the center figure are a bit too bright, and both he and Gandalf are lit from the opposite side of the rest of the image, which contributes to the "digital" look.
